Terms of Use
Updated April 2026
Using Musaic means agreeing to a few simple rules. They're here to keep the space usable for everyone.
Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials private.
- One person per account. No bots.
- You must be old enough to agree to a contract where you live.
Your content
- Your pins and stories are yours. You own them.
- Pins are added to the community songbook by default — meaning your username, the song, the emotion you tagged, and any story text you wrote are visible to other Musaic listeners. You may opt any individual pin into private mode using the "Things I couldn't say" toggle; private pins are encrypted at rest and only visible to you.
- You grant Musaic a limited license to display your public pins to other listeners inside the app, and to display all of your pins (public and private) back to you. We never license your content to third parties.
- Don't log content that violates copyright, contains hate speech, or targets anyone. We reserve the right to remove content and accounts that do.
- Musaic does not have direct messages, comments, or friend requests. Being seen on Musaic means your username appears next to a song and an emotion. If you don't want to be seen for a particular pin, mark it private.
Song data
Song metadata (title, artist, album art) is fetched from the Apple iTunes Search API. Musaic does not host or redistribute audio. Clicking a song in the app may open Apple Music or another music service — those services have their own terms. You may also sign in using "Sign in with Apple"; Apple handles that authentication under Apple's own terms. Transactional emails (like password resets) are sent via Resend.com.
Availability
This is an early-stage app. Features may change. Things may break. We'll do our best to communicate when they do.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we'll let you know in-app before they take effect.
